Personalized care to assist your pet

to achieve greater comfort and a better quality of life

You know your pet better than anyone else.

You may notice that they now hesitate before climbing the stairs, take longer to get up, no longer jump with the same ease, or play for shorter periods than before. Perhaps they’ve become more anxious, irritable, intolerant, reactive, or, on the contrary, more lethargic. Perhaps they’re more moody or have a reduced appetite.

These changes are sometimes subtle, but they’re a sign that something has changed.

Very often, these signs appear gradually. The animal adapts, compensates, and carries on with remarkable resilience. Yet behind these adaptations may lie underlying tensions related to an injury, aging, surgery, significant stress, or simply life’s experiences.

Every animal possesses a natural ability to regain its balance and VITALITY when conditions are optimal and allow it to do so.

At the AnimaScience Center, our holistic veterinary approach aims to assist this natural process through gentle, personalized care that respects each animal’s unique rhythm. Our goal is to promote their comfort, mobility, and overall well-being… and to help them rediscover the joy of being fully themselves.

A Holistic Approach to Animal Care

At the AnimaScience Center, we believe that every animal is unique.

Our care isn’t limited to the area where symptoms appear. Instead, we seek to understand all the factors that may influence an animal’s condition: its history, lifestyle, past injuries, emotional state, and the compensatory mechanisms its body has developed.

In our clinical experience, certain tensions can persist long after a physical trauma or a period of stress. They can gradually alter posture, mobility, or certain behaviors

Our goal is to assist the animal in releasing these tensions, allowing its body to return to a more harmonious state of functioning and to reconnect with its joy of living.

Expertise grounded in over 35 years of experience

Dr. Madeleine Tremblay has assisted animals for over 35 years.

Throughout her practice, she has developed an integrative approach that combines conventional veterinary knowledge with various complementary methods, always respecting each animal’s individual pace.

Each consultation is tailored to the animal’s specific needs, with no standardized protocol.

What happens during a consultation?

Each session begins with a discussion with the family to better understand the animal’s history, its current challenges, and any changes that have been observed.

The treatment then includes:

  • careful observation of the animal’s posture, movements, and overall condition;
  • an assessment of tension in the animal’s body;
  • the application of gentle techniques tailored to the animal’s condition;
  • personalized recommendations when indicated.

The animal remains at the center of all decisions. Its level of comfort constantly guides the course of the session.

Why Multiple Sessions May Be Necessary

Some tensions have developed gradually over the course of months or years.

The body often develops compensatory mechanisms that allow it to continue functioning despite certain limitations.

When these tensions begin to ease, the body gradually restores its balance. This adaptation generally occurs in stages.

That is why multiple sessions may sometimes be recommended to respect each animal’s individual pace and promote lasting changes.

Techniques Used

Depending on your pet’s needs, treatment may incorporate various complementary approaches, including:

  • veterinary manual therapy (formerly known as veterinary chiropractic);
  • veterinary acupuncture;
  • myofascial release techniques;
  • aromatherapy and zoophytocognosy;
  • other therapeutic tools selected based on the pet’s condition.

Each treatment is chosen based on what is most appropriate for the animal, without applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Wondering if these treatments are right for your pet?

Every situation is different.

Your pet could benefit from our treatments if it exhibits any of the following:

  • reduced mobility or stiffness;
  • difficulty climbing stairs or jumping;
  • slower recovery from an injury or surgery;
  • chronic pain or discomfort;
  • unexplained behavioral changes;
  • anxiety, stress, or increased reactivity;
  • decreased energy or difficulty aging;
  • compensatory movements due to a musculoskeletal issue.

We’ll take the time to talk with you to assess whether our approach is right for your pet’s needs and to answer all your questions before starting treatment.

We’ll be happy to assist you on this journey toward lasting well-being for your pet.

Our Approach to Care

We believe that the body possesses a remarkable capacity to adapt and heal when it is restored to favorable conditions.

The care we offer seeks to support this natural intelligence by assisting the body in regaining greater mobility, comfort, and balance.

Our goal is not merely to alleviate a symptom, but to assist the animal as a whole, respecting its history, its pace, and its needs.
